Whew....it's been a few days!

Well, it has been a few days since I last posted. I have been working non-stop since Tuesday night. When I got off of work today I went to the OB/GYN. It looks like I am changing doctors AGAIN! I feel like a doctor whore. LOL. Anyways, the reason I am switching is that my OB/GYN feels that I should deliver in the city where my cardiologist is, mainly for the coordination of care. She also gave me the option of switching to a cardiologist in Ft. Worth and keeping the same OB/GYN. Since I absolutely love my cardiologist now and if our child were to have a heart defect I would want them to go to Children's, we have decided to go to the Big D to have Baby Flores. I really enjoyed the OB/GYN I had and would recommend her to anyone. Now....more doctors appointments so they can get acquainted with me.

On a different note.....Jose and I are going on our much anticipated honeymoon next Wednesday. We will be leaving for Riviera Maya at 0600! I am so excited!! Monday my mom and I went shopping for some larger clothes since I am facing the fact that my body is changing and boy was that depressing and happy at the same time! I worked really hard to lose weight but I did that so I could be healthy when I was pregnant....so it isnt that bad.

On to how I feel and stuff like that. I have been feeling queasy and icky for the last couple of weeks. It seems to be an all day kind of thing. I do have periods of feeling okay and other periods of wanting to crawl into a fetal position. I have also noticed that I my body is changing. Yes...it is getting larger. I feel like a mini Dolly Parton and my waist is getting thicker. Last night went I went to potty I noticed the dark line on my belly. The linea nigra has appeared. I also am having lots of headaches and experiencing insomnia. I seem to not be able to sleep well. The only days I sleep well are the days I work because I am totally exhausted. I also have round ligament pain and have to urinate like every 45 min to 1 hour. Try sleeping during the day when you wake up every 1-2 hours to pee!! Ahhhhh!!! It gets annoying but at the same time it is worth it. In addition to all of these things I am eating every 3 hours and I also snack very often. I cried about it last weekend but Jose says I really dont eat anymore than I used to.....just more often. He tells me to eat more at dinner and maybe it will last longer. I still like Taco Bell and enjoy eating soup (chicken noodle).

Well, I guess that is all for now!
I am 13 weeks 2 days!

The weekend....

Well, nothing cool has gone on since I last wrote. I finally told my best buddy Patty. Once I told her I could tell the world. I was waiting and waiting until I saw her to spill the beans, but unfortunately that did not work out so I had to tell her on the phone! She was super excited!

Friday night Jose and I went to the Ranger game and I had my NACHOS. I absolutely love nachos, especially from there. Saturday we just spent time at our parents houses and brought Marcus to spend the night. He is so funny and cute! He kept asking me if I got a baby Marissa in my tummy (his baby sister's name). He also asked me if he was going to be a big brother again when I had my baby and I told him no....you will be a big cousin! I think that will this baby's #1 fan. Jose says I need to wean him from our house because once the baby comes he will not be able to come over as often. I just cannot do that. Marcus is my little buddy. Anyhow....Jose wanted some chocolate chip cookies so Marcus and I made some. He was quite the little helper.

I almost forgot to mention that I got so sick on Saturday morning. I had to lay down for over an hour in a fetal position until I felt somewhat human! I had spent the morning grocery shopping and then cooked my favorite breakfast: chorizo, beans, and eggs. Jose and I have come to the conclusion that our baby is just like him: he/she does not like eggs, sausage, or chorizo. Those are the only thing that have made me really sick/throw up.

Today (Sunday) we went to Church, to my Grandma's house, and then to my mom's house to hang out. We told my Grandma we were going to have a baby and she was so happy. She also has Alzheimer's so we kept telling her and telling her and telling her. She also kept asking if I had a long ways to go. She even told us stories of being pregnant with my mother and an old wives tale about your baby turning into whatever you ate a lot of during the pregnancy (like bread if you ate a whole bunch of it!) She is so precious.

Well, that is all for now. Jose and I are just relaxing in front of the TV. I think we are about to watch some movies and shows we recorded this last week. Wouldn't you know it??! I am hungry again! I swear I eat like every 3-4 hours!

I am 12 weeks 4 days.

Day full of doctors appointments!

Today we went to see my cardiologist and the perinatologist. The cardiologist appointment went fine. We just have to see her again in 10 weeks and one other time near my due date. I will also have a fetal echo done sometime after 24 weeks. The perinatologist took FOREVER! We were there for over 2.5 hours! We were so hungry too! One thing this baby has to learn is Momma and Daddy love to eat....so we do not do well with waiting. There we got to have another ultrasound and this time Jose was there! We were so happy to see the baby again! He/she was moving all around and doing flips. He/she was also sucking their thumb! We even did a 4D sono. You should have seen Jose's face when that came up on the screen. I think he was scared! I just laughed and told him at the stage they do look like little aliens. I think he was relieved. We now have to add the perinatologist to the rotation....once a month for now. Well that is all for today. We just finished eating some Whataburger...that I couldn't finish because my belly was not liking the mustard or ketchup. We'll talk again later.....

I am 12 weeks 1 day....still...

Well...here we go!

So....I have been thinking about blogging for a little while now. Mainly as a place to document all of my thoughts throughout this pregnancy. I don't want to forget a thing and want to be able to look back at all of this someday. Well, I guess I should start at the beginning....March 19, 2008!

On the morning of March 19 I went to Wal-Mart around 0730 since that is pretty much the only place open to buy pregnancy tests. Something inside told me that this was my day. I didn't want to get my hopes up though. I bought some Funyuns the pregnancy tests and went on my merry way. Now the problem was do I test now or wait until I wake up?! I had drank about 2.5 liters of water at work and didn't want to be disappointed when a NOT PREGNANT showed up since I was sure I was pregnant. You know the whole diluted urine thing and you are supposed to use the first morning urine. Well....I didn't wait....I decided to test...and it said NOT PREGNANT. I wasn't disappointed something told me to try again when I woke up. Well, I woke up that afternoon and I took a test. I had this whole plan....if I am pregnant I would run to the mall (while I am supposed to be at Boot Camp) and buy Jose a baby Aggie onesie and tell him I am pregnant. Well....things didn't go as planned. As soon as I wake up....Jose is all over me! I am cute what can I say?! Anyhow....I am trying to shake him off and finally I succeed. He goes into the bedroom and I go into the bathroom to check the status of my test. I looked down and said "OH MY GOD!" Jose says, "What?!" I say, "This!" and shove the test into his face. His reaction was priceless. He had a look of amazement and a silly smile. Then he pushes it away and says"No way" I am like "Yes way." The rest of the afternoon we kind of sat there with these silly looks on our faces and didn't say much. After three more tests (Jose needed more confirmation) we finally believed it! I am pregnant! I am due Nov. 26 (the day before Thanksgiving)

There you have it...the story. Well this pregnancy has not been that bad. Well, other than the bloating and the gas. I have not really been sick until last week. Since then I have periods of ickiness and nausea. I have thrown up one time! I do gag and dry heave a lot! Brushing my teeth is a real chore too because I almost always want to throw up! Last weekend I had a horrible night at work....at the end of my shift I went to the potty and what did I see? Lot's of blood! That's right BLOOD! I was so proud of myself. I calmly left and then lost it in the parking lot. Jose and I went to the hospital and I was diagnosed with a subchorionic hemorrhage. The baby was fine! I even got to see the heart beat and had a sono, all which Jose missed since they wouldn't let him back for it! He was so disappointed! I just had to take it easy for a few days and get released by my OB this Monday. I do have to admit....I have never been as scared in my life. I thank everyone for their prayers. Prayer is a powerful thing!

Up above you will find our first sonogram pics! If you look closely I think the baby already has Jose's nose. So.....if that is the case.....we are hoping it is a boy! I was 11 weeks 4 days at the time.

I know this post was super long but I had to provide an initial story and update. I am now 12 weeks 1 day pregnant!
