Well...here we go!

So....I have been thinking about blogging for a little while now. Mainly as a place to document all of my thoughts throughout this pregnancy. I don't want to forget a thing and want to be able to look back at all of this someday. Well, I guess I should start at the beginning....March 19, 2008!

On the morning of March 19 I went to Wal-Mart around 0730 since that is pretty much the only place open to buy pregnancy tests. Something inside told me that this was my day. I didn't want to get my hopes up though. I bought some Funyuns the pregnancy tests and went on my merry way. Now the problem was do I test now or wait until I wake up?! I had drank about 2.5 liters of water at work and didn't want to be disappointed when a NOT PREGNANT showed up since I was sure I was pregnant. You know the whole diluted urine thing and you are supposed to use the first morning urine. Well....I didn't wait....I decided to test...and it said NOT PREGNANT. I wasn't disappointed something told me to try again when I woke up. Well, I woke up that afternoon and I took a test. I had this whole plan....if I am pregnant I would run to the mall (while I am supposed to be at Boot Camp) and buy Jose a baby Aggie onesie and tell him I am pregnant. Well....things didn't go as planned. As soon as I wake up....Jose is all over me! I am cute what can I say?! Anyhow....I am trying to shake him off and finally I succeed. He goes into the bedroom and I go into the bathroom to check the status of my test. I looked down and said "OH MY GOD!" Jose says, "What?!" I say, "This!" and shove the test into his face. His reaction was priceless. He had a look of amazement and a silly smile. Then he pushes it away and says"No way" I am like "Yes way." The rest of the afternoon we kind of sat there with these silly looks on our faces and didn't say much. After three more tests (Jose needed more confirmation) we finally believed it! I am pregnant! I am due Nov. 26 (the day before Thanksgiving)

There you have it...the story. Well this pregnancy has not been that bad. Well, other than the bloating and the gas. I have not really been sick until last week. Since then I have periods of ickiness and nausea. I have thrown up one time! I do gag and dry heave a lot! Brushing my teeth is a real chore too because I almost always want to throw up! Last weekend I had a horrible night at work....at the end of my shift I went to the potty and what did I see? Lot's of blood! That's right BLOOD! I was so proud of myself. I calmly left and then lost it in the parking lot. Jose and I went to the hospital and I was diagnosed with a subchorionic hemorrhage. The baby was fine! I even got to see the heart beat and had a sono, all which Jose missed since they wouldn't let him back for it! He was so disappointed! I just had to take it easy for a few days and get released by my OB this Monday. I do have to admit....I have never been as scared in my life. I thank everyone for their prayers. Prayer is a powerful thing!

Up above you will find our first sonogram pics! If you look closely I think the baby already has Jose's nose. So.....if that is the case.....we are hoping it is a boy! I was 11 weeks 4 days at the time.

I know this post was super long but I had to provide an initial story and update. I am now 12 weeks 1 day pregnant!
