First Texas Ranger Game

Like I have said previously, I have been so busy this summer finishing my Master's degree. With that being said, I haven't had time to do anything other than take lots of pictures and write myself little emails.

Earlier this summer we were able to take Ipolito to his first Texas Ranger game. He was really into baseball at the time (still is) so we decided to get pretty good seats. We sat on the first base side, 12 or 13 rows up. Ipolito & Papi took their baseball gloves and were ready to catch a ball. Honestly, we didn't know what to expect. We just kind of hoped for the best but knew that Ipolito was the boss. We had no idea how long we would be there. Much to our surprise we stayed the ENTIRE game!

About two days before the game we started talking to Ipolito about seeing the "big boys" play baseball. He, was of course excited. For the past couple of months we had been cousin Marcus' biggest fans. We rarely missed one of his games and his team was name the Rangers too. I think he thought we were going to see them play. Ipolito had also been wearing this Texas Ranger hat I bought him everywhere! He LOVED it and was rarely without it (so long Elmo hat).

The day of the game we ate dinner and were off! We parked at Six Flags (season parking) and walked over to the Ballpark. Ipolito was very excited/confused because he thought we were going to Six Flags at first. He did amazingly great at the Ballpark. He didn't get bored or complain. He loved cheering for the Rangers, trying to catch the balls, and of course eating! He ate popcorn, peanuts, and a Strawberry Chill. At one point when the people selling the goods were yelling out, "POPCORN" "SODA" "BEER", Ipolito decided to join in too. He started yelling, "BEER!" We were laughing of course and everyone around us turned around and smiled at him. My cutie was stealing the show once again.

Watching the action

Cute!

Ready for a ball

Later on in the game, when Jose & Ipolito went to the bathroom someone said, "Excuse me!" I turned around and a couple of ladies told me they were "absolutely in love with my little boy!" They thought he was so cute, well behaved (oh they don't know the real Ipolito), and loved his eyelashes (who wouldn't?!).  All in all our trip to the Ballpark was a success. On the way home he told us, "Pito have fun." That says it all.
