It's Hurricane Flores!!

Well, I am currently in week 26. It is hard to believe I will be starting the third trimester later on this week. I did my 3 hour gestational diabetes test on Friday. It was not as bad as I thought it would be. My lovely Jose went with me and we arrived at 0800. They took a fasting blood sugar, gave me the drink (warm) and I had 5 minutes to drink it. I drank it in under a minute. It was not good. It tasted like pure sugar syrup! I then had to get blood taken at 1, 2, and 3 hours. During this time we read magazines, talked, and watched the Today show. I never got hungry....only thirsty. When I came out of the lab for the last time....my Jose was waiting for me with a Three Musketeers bar! We will probably not find out the results until Monday.

We changed the rooms around this weekend. Man was that a lot of work! I just did the piddly stuff. Jose, my brother, and his brother did the hard work. Our house looks like a hurricane hit! Our nice spacious house just became small all of a sudden. Plus....all my hard work at matching furniture in the rooms was for nothing! Our TV room has/had this texas star rustic theme....now it has a desk in it and the end tables are in our large living room. Our large living room has like three different woods in it and I am afraid that is just the way it is going to be.

The baby's room is cleaned out and now all we need to do is pick out a paint color and start painting. Once that is done Jose can put the crib together. The reviews I was reading about the changing table and dresser that went with the crib were not good. So we bought a dresser today at Ashley's. My plan was just to buy a normal dresser and use the top as a changing table and later as Baby Ismael grows it is his dresser. This way we get a dresser that is made of quality wood and will last a long time.

I dont know if I have said or not, but we have chosen the Nautica William Sailboat theme. It is simple, classic, and elegant. Plus it has some blue in it and we both liked it! I also registered this week at Babies R Us, Target, and Pottery Barn Kids.

Well, this is it for now. I'll let you know how the gestational diabetes test went when I find out!
