Week 24

Well...this week has been uneventful. I had a final paper to write for my research course and a final exam on Wednesday so my life for the past 10 days has been consumed by that. I just learned I made an A in the course....looks like a 4.0 for me for the semester! I get a little break now for about 2-3 weeks until I start the fall semester. Yes, I am taking one class this fall. From the syllabus it looks like I will be done with the class on November 14. Ipolito shouldn't be here until after that!

I have quite a bit I want to accomplish these next 2-3 weeks. We really need to bunker down and get things rollin for Baby Ismael's room. We have done nothing as of yet. The only thing we have bought is a crib, a shirt, and a sweater. I started cleaning the room we are using as his room tonight and I lasted only 30-45 minutes because I was so tired and out of breath. I guess I should have started this little project sooner. Right now that room has a queen size bed, a treadclimber, a tv, lots of stuffed animals, toys for my nephews, and lots of junk. For the most part I got the trash out and now I need to clean and organize our computer room b/c that is where the bed is going (Jose refuses to part with it). Once I am done with that we are planning on having a moving party for Jose, his brother, brother-in-law, my brother, and a friend or two. During this "party" they will be disassembling the furniture and moving it around the house. I plan to provide them with food and beer. My goal is to do this on August 23.

I also plan on registering in the next couple of weeks at Babies R Us, Target, and Pottery Barn Kids. I really want to go to Pottery Barn Kids to see their bedding close up because once I decide which bedding I want we can start looking for paint colors, ordering the bedding, etc. Lastly I need to get a list of people together to invite for the baby shower. UGHhh!!! So much to do and so little time!

As for Baby Ismael, he kicks quite a bit now and I am definitely growing daily. Sometimes I wake up and just stare at the mirror b/c I swear I grew some more in the 8-12 hours I have slept. Work is very tiring for me. It takes so much out of me and I am very sore by the time I get home. We also have been super busy at work with really sick children so this doesn't help! My hips also hurt quite a bit. My right a little more than my left. He likes that side a lot!


I see the doctor on Tuesday for a sono, my diabetes test, and an office visit! My mother and Marcus are going with me since Jose has to work the night before and that night. I am excited b/c I get to see Baby Ismael again!

Well this is all for now. I am currently 24 weeks and 3 days pregnant!
