Christmas Time 2010

Well, Christmas 2010 has come and gone in our home. This Christmas was totally different from the past ones. Ipolito was super excited and loved Santa Claus. He loved the tree, lights, and seeing the house all decorated. This year we let him decorate the smaller tree we kept in the dining area and we put the train around the larger tree. He loved that train and made us turn it on for him each night. I did enjoy shopping with him and buying things right in front of him and him forgetting about it 5 minutes later. I know that won't be the case in the future. Ipolito also loved singing Christmas carols and his favorites were "Jingle Bells," "We Wish you a Merry Christmas," and "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer."

We went to the ICE exhibit at the Gaylord Texan and Ipolito wasn't too crazy about it. It was harder this year since I went without Jose, he can walk much better, and he wanted me to hold him with that big bulky jacket on. He was super excited to go down the big ice slide and he had to go by himself. Well...he got stuck halfway down, got scared, and started screaming loudly. I wanted to cry. This lady behind me said, "Well, he is too young to go by himself." I wanted to smack her. The attendant told me it happens all the time. Someone climbed up and slid with him the rest of the way. Once I got down there my mom said it was happening to lots of people, so I didn't feel so bad.

Christmas was at our house this year with my family. We had lots of fun, food, and a great time with the family. We played the Kinect with all of the kids and I showed everyone my dancing skills. Ipolito loved opening presents and kept saying, "More presents please." He got many cool things and on Christmas evening after work he told me and Jose, "Santa Claus is coming." We just laughed and told him yes he is then he opened up his big present: a little motorcycle that has been name his "car."

All in all Christmas was absolutely wonderful in our home.
